What is The Metabolic Balance Test?

It’s a diet for healthy weight management that helps you lose weight as well as reset your metabolism.

How does it work?

The programme promotes hormone balance primarily by regulating the amount of insulin your body produces. Fat burning and weight loss occur almost as a side effect of restored hormone balance. Metabolic balance® has helped people suffering from all kinds of health problems including: Type 2 diabetes, rheumatism, migraines, insulin resistance, high blood pressure fatigue, high cholesterol, osteoporosis, allergies, skin disorders etc. Other improvements, that have been reported include increased energy, better sleep and an increased feeling of well-being.

The three-month support programme re-sets your metabolism and hormone levels, particularly insulin, in order to enable your body to reach its natural weight. Key features include leaving a five-hour gap between meals and not mixing protein sources. You eat three nutritious meals every day and chose foods for your meals from your personal food list. With the right foods and following a few simple rules, you rest your hormone levels and achieve and maintain your ideal weight.

Before starting the programme you will need to  have a blood test ( this is done at the doctors laboratory if London based, or else we will supply you with details of what blood results we require)which determines which foods work best with your body chemistry( not to be confused with the blood type diet).

Depending on the amount of weight a client has to lose, the first two to three weeks can result in a stone or more in weight loss. Significantly, this is not water or lean muscle loss, as with many diets, but fat.  The diet also increases metabolic rate, rather than decreases it, as happens with many other diets.
